Kids Art Club

Develop your drawing, painting, and mixed media skills. Students practice hand-eye coordination, learn the ability to see objects as they are, and create art. Uses several mediums.

Emerging Artists: Drawing & Painting

Grades: 5-8 Cost: $100
Dates: Sep 23-Nov 18 (8 weeks, no class Oct 14)
For students interested in working on drawing and painting skills. Design, techniques, composition, creativity, and craftsmanship will be taught. Students will work in different mediums such as pencil, chalk, ink, paint, etc.

Youth Honors Academy

Cost: $70 per month

Instructor approval required for registration. Drawing, painting, collage and mixed media for serious young artists. The curriculum is designed for the current students' needs and interests. Stop-Motion Studio—Family Edition

Cost: $45 per family (up to 4 people) limit of 5 families, enroll early!
Bring a few family photos and turn them into a stop-motion short of your very own! 
MAC provides iPads with the Stop Motion Studio Pro app or you may bring your own.

Drawing Explorations, Session I & II

Time: 5:45-6:30pm
Cost: $75 per session
This class meets before Drawing Club. The instructor will give a brief lesson each week. Students will begin their drawings during the scheduled time. At the end of class time students may leave and finish the drawing at home or stay until 8:30pm and work alongside drawing club members. The instructor will stay to help as needed. Basic supplies are provided; students are encouraged to bring their favorites or ask the instructor for a list.

Photo Realistic Painting

Time: 6:30-9pm
Cost: $155
In order for a student to take this class, they should have finished at least one or two paintings under the supervision of an art teacher of some type. Subjects for paintings must be approved by instructor. Students bringing in photos of their own 1) must receive instructor approval to use; 2) must be willing to draw on the photo. No images on phones, please. Paint, canvas, palettes will be provided. Students are encouraged to buy a #4 and a #8 bright, natural hair brush, all other bushes are provided. Students will need a magnifying glass. Come to learn to paint something to look like a photograph. It’s not as hard as you think!

Painting Explorations, Session I & II

Time: 5:45-6:30pm
Cost: $75 per session
Every good painter knows we all need a knowledgeable painter giving us a nudge to grow and improve – that is what this class is all about. Bring in paintings in-progress or paintings you want to start. Use any medium and painting surface. Student provides most supplies, though basic supplies are available for use during class. Once the painting is started, an art professional will critique your progress and meet with you each week. Work on your painting and have an artist there to answer your questions as they arise during Painting Studio from 6:30-9pm. Come join in the fun!

Watercolor 101 & Beyond

This two-part watercolor class is designed for both new (101) and more experienced (Beyond) painters. The instructor will present a basic lesson for 101 students who will continue working on their project while the instructor then works with Beyond students to improve and polish techniques and solve problems. The instructor will also meet with all students individually to critique and guide their progress. Basic supplies provided – students may bring their own or ask the instructor for a list.
