Special Instructions for Auditions as we reopen following COVID-19.
Please read the document below so that you know what to expect once you have submitted your audition form online. Please submit your online audition form at least one hour prior to the start time of auditions so that the director has time to contact you with an audition appointment.
No preparation is needed for auditions for most Manhattan Arts Center shows.
Please arrive between 7 and 8pm either night of scheduled auditions and fill out an audition form (you can also fill out an audition form online, but you will still need to come in to audition).
You will typically have a chance to read through the passages from the script that the director has selected.
(Note: For musicals, please come prepared to sing a song no longer than 2 minutes, and bring sheet music if you would like accompaniment. Also, while not all roles in musicals require dancing, please wear comfortable clothes and shoes for a short dance audition.)
If you are not cast, we welcome your participation in backstage roles.
