Two-Week Theatre or Art Intensive Camps

:  (one-week camp descriptions below!)
Two-week arts intensive camps are for kids who want to focus on theatre or art. For all-day camp, enroll separately for the corresponding morning or afternoon, one-week sessions (supervised lunchtime is included with all day camps from noon-1pm. This does not include food.)

Youth Summer Theatre Camp for Grades K-8 (1-4pm) June 18-29

 
MAC’s summer theater camp directed by Penny Cullers, performance on Friday, June 29. We visit Italy with Shakespeare’s comedy The Tempest. A classic comedy of wits and wisdom, mistaken identity and misdirected love/hate - all tied up with a bit of magic and whimsy. 

Claymakers (9am-12pm) May 29-June 8 


Claymakers (AM) - For K-6th graders, this is an all clay camp exploring both handbuilding and wheel throwing activities. 

Emerging Artists

   **For 6th -8th graders only
This art intensive week explores various mediums and styles. Art created in this camp is eligible to be part of our special Camp MAC student exhibit.

One-Week Drama & Art Camps:

Camp MAC one-week camps feature drama, art, and clay, unless noted. Each session is a half day. Grade is the year a student has just completed in school. Classes are divided into groups based on enrollment. Please contact us if you have questions. AM camps: 9am-12pm, PM camps: 1-4pm  
*Grades listed are the grade your child is finishing for the 2017-2018 school year.

Camp Jumanji (AM) – (Grades 1-6) 9am-12pm

Inspired by the book and films, get set for the game of a lifetime.

WEEK 4: JUNE 26-JUNE 30


Camp Hogwarts (grades K-6) 9am-12pm


Do you have what it takes to be a student at the world’s most famous school of wizardry? Our favorite wand wielding friends take up residence at MAC!

WEEK 5: JULY 9-13


Camp is a Zoo (grades K-6) 9am-12pm


Whether you love dogs, cats, lizards, bears, or zebras – we’ll create and act like animals of all kinds – even the ones mom and dad say you can’t keep!

Camp Kindness (grades K-6) 1pm-4pm


Inspired by the book Wonder we’ll create art for others including community art, guerilla art, and art to share & trade. 

WEEK 6: JULY 16-20


A Galaxy Far Away (grades K-6) 9am-12pm


Taking inspiration from science and sci-fi, we explore the artistry and antics of the worlds beyond our own.

Rock Star Camp (grades K-6) 1pm-4pm


Make your own instruments, design a band t-shirt, and lip sync as you record your own music video. We’ll have a showing of the videos at the end of the week.

WEEK 7: July 30-Aug 3

Camp Half-blood

(grades K-6) 9am-12pm
Inspired by Percy Jackson & Harry Potter, only wizard or demi-god wannabes need apply! 

Night at the Museum

(grades K-6) 9am-12pm
Create works for museums of all kinds – art, natural history, natural science, and more. End the week by acting as a docent for a museum tour with parents as the visitors.

WEEK 8: AUG 7-11

 

Outdoor Adventures

(grades K-6) 9am-12pm
Inspired by habitats from around the globe and even in our own backyards.

It’s Make Believe

(grades K-6) 9am-12pm
Explore myths, fairytales, and folklore from the past and present.

Two-week theatre camp tuition:

$180

Two-week clay camp tuition (May 29-Jun 8):

 $170

One-week camp tuition

:

$90 (for each half-day 9am-12pm or 1-4pm session). $180 for full day (supervised lunch included with full day. MAC does not provide lunch).

$20 of each session fee includes a non-refundable session deposit. Whole day camp is $180 per week.
* Week 1 camp (May 29-Jun 3) is prorated to $80.

Scholarships:

 Available for kids who qualify for free or reduced school lunch.
