2022 Strings Chamber Music Camp
Dates: August 8-11, 9am-3pm daily, $125
for string students, elementary through high school, who can read music
This four-day camp focuses on developing important chamber music skills which helps young performers build confidence and acquire critical musicianship skills that can make them better ensemble players and soloists. Each day of the camp, participants will receive coachings and take part in daily seminars led by CSPA faculty and KSU String Division students. The camp will culminate with each group performing on the final concert that will be open to the public.

- Developing techniques (vibrato, pizzicato, and double stop)
Community School for the Performing Arts is launching its Summer Chamber Music Camp for violin, viola, cello students who can read music. Participants will be assigned to one or more groups and repertoire will be based on their levels. Repertoire is carefully selected to challenge and inspire young players. Music will be assigned and distributed prior to the beginning of the camp. All students will have access to the following programs below. Certificates of completion will be issued to participants.
9:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m., Chamber Music Coaching, with breaks
11:45 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Supervised lunch, food not provided – please send a lunch
1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., Master Classes, Chamber Orchestra Rehearsal & Musicianship Classes
Final concert Thursday August 11
