Group Cello Classes

Modeled after our Group Violin classes, these new cello classes are for 3rd - 5th graders who have never played cello. Use of a cello is included in the tuition.  As we are able to acquire more cellos, we’ll be expanding the program to more grades!

Cost: $260 (includes cello)
Location: McCain Music Building, KSU

This group class is for designed students who have never played. This group class focuses on posture, bow hold, and the mechanics of how the hands coordinate to play the instrument, as well as learning to read rhythms and notes and playing together. Includes the use of an instrument that you can take home for practice. Group size is limited. Scholarships are available. 

**Scholarships are available for school-age students whose household income qualifies for the federal free and reduced lunch program. We also offer a Military Discount for MAC classes. Only one coupon may be used per registration. For more information, please contact MAC prior to registration. 

If you have a cello you no longer use, regardless of condition, please consider donating it to our cello program! Our cello program is supported, in part, by a Caroline Peine Foundation grant.

Group Cello classes are taught by our cello instructor, Mr. Brett Lytle. The classes will meet in the McCain Music building on the KSU campus. 

This class abides by the COVID-19 policies set by KSU and the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance. 

Parking on the KSU campus is at the discretion of the student's family. Please follow all posted signage.
