Johnson's drawings recall the sensory and emotional connections inherent in her bonds with animals and the natural landscape. The layering of Johnson's marks and images let the drawings serve as physical artifacts of their own manifestation. Taggart's drawing style emerged as an emotional saturation of tones. The black & white landscapes and skies challenge the viewer to interpret a sunrise or storm without the element of color. Although much can be said without color, Taggart's newest work incorporates colored graphite and pastels.

Staged Reading. An explosive look at the upheaval within a loving family as parents grapple with the aftermath of a tragedy. Six years ago, a 10-year-old boy accidentally shot and killed his 9-year-old brother after his mom left a loaded gun in the couch cushion. Now, six years later, a court appointed social worker makes a home visit to determine if the now 16-year-old boy should be let off of probation.
