Born in Germany and raised in Puyallup, Washington, Kai moved to Manhattan in 2018 to pursue a college degree and spend time with his father. After originally planning to get a degree in Computer Science, Kai began taking art and ceramics classes in 2021, sparking a rapidly growing love for the arts. Kai graduated from Kansas State University in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Ceramics, and a BFA in Graphic Design. He served as a Studio Assistant for the ceramics department at K-State for multiple years, and is thrilled to step into the role of Studio Manager for the Manhattan Arts Center.
In his free time, Kai enjoys creating art in any way he can, from ceramics to fiber arts, watching hockey, and spending time with his friends and cat Brimley.
