Gracie Stutterheim is thrilled to be on the MAC team as she considers it her life’s mission to cultivate and share the fine arts with the world. Gracie’s passion for the arts has been present throughout her entire life. She participated in theatre, choir, and dance throughout high school, and went on to study at University of Kansas where she earned a Music Education degree, in addition to a degree in French and Francophone studies.
Prior to joining the MAC, she was a high school choir director in Houston, TX. There, she developed a large and successful program, taught AP music theory, and music directed for the school’s theatre department, which earned her several Tommy Tune nominations. As a teacher her priorities were recruitment, researched - backed vocal techniques, strong music literacy, helping students grow up to be kind and resilient adults.
Outside of work, she enjoys fishing, hiking with her dog Liza, playing guitar, watching her husband Tom perform in the Salina Symphony and performing at the MAC.
